About the Institute

The James A. A. Pierre Judicial Institute is the official judicial training institution of the Judiciary of Liberia. It was established by the Supreme Court of Liberia in 2008 to serve as the focal point for judicial education, professional development, and capacity building for judicial officers and other justice sector actors.

The Institute was created to address the training needs of judges, magistrates, court clerks, administrative staff, and other personnel within the Judiciary. Its establishment reflects the Judiciary’s commitment to strengthening the rule of law, improving professional standards, and enhancing public trust in the judicial system.
